We were able to venture out on a "school" night {very exciting} to watch our friend's band, Sick Duck, perform at Baker Street Cypress. We're used to being shoulder to shoulder with crowds, waiting endlessly for a cold beer, & having to get in the bathroom line well before we feel the urge; The Cypress experience was a lovely departure from that. There were enough people to make it feel crowded but without the long lines at the bar and bathroom. We drank our green beer, we considered eating larges amounts of crawfish, we sang obnoxiously loud with the band, we danced, and we were still home before 9. It was awesome {wow, you can tell we're not in our 20s *sigh*}.
Since we arrived home at a reasonable hour, we were able to get our dogs in on the festivities. Lashes even chose the most appropriate toy for herself. She truly understands the essence of St. Patrick's Day {it's a beer bottle if you can't tell}
SPD - PART 2
Saturday, March 19, 2016
We live 17 minutes away from a kick ass brewery, Karbach. Their beer is awesome, the food trucks are on point, & the onsite restaurant serves amazing food {I drool over their Korean Kimchi chicken dish}. The weather Gods smiled upon us and ensured the day was glorious {the wind God & I are fighting though, I had too many Marilyn moments}.
SPD - PART 2.1
I wish I could tell you what happened after we stuffed our faces & danced to the live band playing Irish jig music, but I can't remember, and that's exactly how you want to conclude your Saint Patrick's Day!
